58 year old patient with c/o painful swelling in gums since 4 days. No H/O thyroid,DM,hypertension No habit of smoking and consuming alcohol.

P/d-chronic generalised periodontitis (inflammatory gingival enlargment wrt 33-43, R/o TFO) . Rx- scaling root planing,CHX mouth wash, sensorfm gum paint, oral hygiene reinforcement, habbit counselling if any re-evalute after 6 weeks further treatment protocol depends on residual PPD, alveolar bone topography(adv-OPG), pts oral hygiene maintainance.

Chronic generalised gingivitis and advise rvg irt 43 to 33..check mobility of teeth and any lose of alveolar bone resorption .. And having diabetes?? Check... Preferred ultrascaling.. In an appointment wise ...treatment is based on underlying any disease and localised conditions... And patient oral hygiene.. Rx tab metronidazole 400mg td and tab amox cv 625 bd for five days.. Tab zerodol sp bd 5days and rexidin m forte gel for localised application..

First we should advice Antibiotics (Amox+clav, metronidazole tablets,nsaids, ppi for five days, chlorhexidine gluconate mouth wash, metrohex gel for local application. Then we have ask the patient to check her blood sugar, blood pressure , typhoid tt. from physician. Then if we find all these values are normal (blood pressure, blood sugar) we proceed to oral prophylaxis.
