DERMA CASE/?ATOPIC DERMATITIS.

3 years girl weight 11.5kg presented to OP with pruritic rashes over abdomen and back.no fever normal appetite no other findings..need the Diagnosis and further management protocol.

infected scabies is my final conclusion and given appropriate medicines.symptoms improved..pt on follow up.

urticarial rashes will wax n wane . atopic dermatitis will b more localized . scabies has a good possibility if other family members affected too . n itching is prominent .

Face and extensors are usually affected in infants, and flexural aspects in adults, in case of Atopic Dermatitis Family History and Nocturnal Itching is important in case of Scabies Yes, as @Dr. Nitesh Prasad sir mentioned Urticaria lesions will wax and wane We can advise the patient mid potency steroid + Topical Antibiotic + Anti Histamine +/- an Oral Antibiotic too Oint. Mupirax B LA twice daily, Syp. Atarax 2.5 ml 8 hourly, Syp. Cephalexin 2ml 8 hourly
