There are various types of premixed insulin are against Example - Novolog mix containing Aspart protamine with Aspart plain Human Mixtard containing isophane insulin with human regular insulin ( 50:50 or 30:70) Best way is to start with low dose and titrate the dose upwards based on blood sugar Every patient is different, and they respond differently to medication. Therefore it is always show upward titration of dose in every patient. In view of different responsiveness you insulin there can not be a fixed rule of dose Example - For same dose one patient can go in hypoglycemia and for same dose another patient can be severely hyperglycaemic
