DOC for Vertigo

Drug of choice for vertigo in a 86 year old female presented with complaints of vertigo Betahistine or Cinnarizine or something else ?? History of ENT consultation 2 to 3 years back which revealed nerve degeneration as stated by the patient Known case of T2DM on Vildagliptin, Metformin and Glimipiride, well controlled. She has been referred to the ENT specialist again by me, but for symptomatic relief what would have been the best choice for her cinnarizine or betahistine or else??

But in today practice I have seen combination of betahistamine & cinnarazine Is written by Neurosurgeon for vertigo & posture of sleeping advised with not to use pillow with cervical collar advised for better result

My choice is Betahistine 48mg/day because of good safety profile. Cinnarizine should be avoid due to EPS
