Ear piercing infection

20 yr old female with c/o more 2 week itching of ear lobule and scanty amount pus coming out of ear piercing since 5days on and off painful on touch pd was afraid of closing of pierced lobule so did not removed earing for weeks. What treatment suggested in this pt

Concluded answer

Treat the infection with antibiotics. PO antihistamines. Topical Fusidic acid .Short course of oral steroids. Keep a big gold ear ring. (Gold practically doesn't cause allergy )

Avoid use of earrings/ Neem twigs T. Fexofenadine/ levocetrizine 1x1 Local antiseptic ointment Oral systemic antibiotics in appropriate dose and duration

- contact dermatitis with secondary inf. - Antihistaminc- Antibiotic- local antiseptic - inj. T.T. o.5ml im.

Local antibiotic ointment application and let the hole closed.repierce again when infection subsides

Contact dermatitis avoid ear rings for few days -oral Antibiotics, Antihistamine,local antiseptic

Contact dermatitis to ear rings with Sec.infection.

Contact dermatitis With? secondary infection

Infective allergic reactions adv amoxyclave 625 mg 1 bd ,tab levocetrizine 5 mg 1 od at evening , and locally mupirocin oint for 5days
