Fracture thigh

pat.10 yrs/f/girl child #left thigh due to local infection,what to suggest to patient ,what will be future prognosis,can patient might walk normally even without surgery.comment please.

From history,appear to be a pathological fracture. Very unusual for osteomyelitis to cause a fracture like this. Bandages obscure the visualisation of bones properly. Anyway need a CT evaluation to rule out other causes and confirm if there is osteomyelitis. Prognosis can be decided after that. Fracture in this area in this age group invariably unites. The underlying cause need evaluation and treatment
Pathological # due to chronic osteomyelitis Plan LRS Application with thorough wound debridement and saucerisation Plan for antibiotic bead application based on skin condition Deep culture during procedure and I V antibiotic for 2 weeks and oral antibiotics 4 weeks

Pathological #lower end of femur Open and drain the pus you mentioned send pus for c&s treat infection accordingly Once infection is resolved than open reduction and fixation It will take couple of months but she may be on her feet

Details of fracture , is it compound or simple. And what is the cause of local infection, is there a sinus, needed.
It was simple fracture,2 months ago sudden swelling over area and pain, and then swelling increased to whole limb, treatment given pus drained.and one of sudden this situation .
