Patient is a case of falciparum malaria. Rx: inj Latinate 120mg iv BD on day 1 followed by inj Latinate 120mg iv OD for the next 3-5 days. Tab malarid ds 45mg stat to be given Rest symptomatic treatment. I don’t consider typhi dot until and unless patient has signs and symptoms of enteric fever.

Primaquine is given in p vivax as a radical cure. In this case u should go for G6 PD level . Then u can go for primaquine.

Its given in both sir Vivax for 14 days Falciparum only at Day2 G6PD is tough to get, so better avoid in children, infants, pregnant females, and make sure Hb is good

Malirid DS dose should be calculated according to ideal body weight, sir. 45mg stat would suffice. Supportive treatment for the rash.

@Shivraj Agarwal Sir - 15mg primaquine for 15 days is given for P. VIVAX calculated as 0.25mg/kgBW , but here case is P. FALCIPARUM where we give 45mg Primaquine only at Day 2 calculated as 0.75mg/kgBW As the weight of patient is 102, which means at Day 2, he needs 5 tabs of Malirid DS Each tab of Malirid DS has 15mg Please give your views sir

Well i have not used in overweight pts
