A 21 year old male having posterior knee pain what could be the diagnosis and treatment? My diagnosis is Fabella ,what are the treatment options available and description for this condition

Fabella present But rule out other causes too... Fabella commonly is asymptomatic Any history of trauma.? Mng stiffness? Clinically look for cruciate, menisci, and collaterals Cbc esr If all other causes excluded, Fabella syndrome could be the cause Try Conservative measures with rest, IFT, Analgesics, brace Steroid injection if pain persists Resection as the last measure if all other rx fails

Fabella is definitely there One of the causes for posterior knee pain is posterior horn tear of meniscus Pain is aggravated in last few degrees of flexion Onset will give a hint MRI will confirm

Fabella seen on posterior side of joint.

Fabula

Chondromalacia fabellae. Pain and tenderness may be present on posterior lateral knee.

I think Chondromalacia fabellae. It is localize tenderness and pain on posteriolateral knee . And passive motion pain of the posterior knee
