CHADDOCK'S SIGN

Stroking the lateral side of foot beneath the lateral malleolus resulting in extension of great toe and indicates UMNL. Similar to Babinski sign.

It is called Chaddock's Sign. the reflex is positive when there is upper motor neuron lesion, corticospinal tract involved.
Indicating damage to the corticospinal tract. It was identified by Charles Gilbert Chaddock in 1911.
There are around 8-9 different methods to elicit umn lesion other than Babinski sign
