Female pt age about 55yrs having c/o burning sensation, pain itching for many months. Pt is taking itraconazole, candid gold ointment defcort pt get relief from these but whenever she withdraw medicine again same thing happened . No h/o BP n DM. Please give ur valuable opinion on diagnosis and treatment

Generalised Discoid Lupus Erythematous (DLE) Well demarcated discoid erythematous plaque with adherent scales,the centre is atrophic, scarred, depigmented with telangiectasia,the border shows hyperpigmentation predominantly on the sun exposed area. Advised for Biopsy. Rule out SLE with ANA,Hemogram and Urine examination. Rx Reassurance Photo protection- clothing n broad spectrum sunscreen Topical steroids start from potent to moderate. Systemic Antimalerial HCQ after opthalmological examination. Antihistaminic. Emollients.

Scar with contracture. Due to movement of the arm not healing and bleeding. Pyogenic granuloma. Needs surgery?

Discoid lupus erythematosus.

DLE.advise biopsy.rule out systemic erythematous.steroid topically and orally.advised antiallergic also.mild antibiotic cream at the centre of erythematous lesion.

- DISCOID LUPUS ERYTHEMATOSUS.
