Why relapse in otitis media
Females patient age 35 year after tympanoplasty there is relapse of symptoms after three months, She use betnesol n drop, So please suggest further management and treatment, prognosis
Possibility of persistence of infection sinuses. Finding of examination of ear undericroscope. Perforation of T M ? Then graft not taken up probably. Lastly and most important is repeated cleaning by patient, prolonged use of topical antibiotic drop causing allergic inflammation of epithelium, leading to ulceration and discharge I think doctor has done everything perfectly preoperatively. So now do examination of ear under microscope suction clearance of ear is there any granulation tissue on surface of new TM if yes cauterize it with weak chemical agents. NO CLEANING, NO EAR DROP.. if you like an ear drop use it of some other group for a very short period. Think you will be relieved of anxiety

The drainage came out when he layed on exam table 1. Question is this an abscess or a cyst, also how exactly can I distinguish between the two? 2. What is diagnosis? 3. when to drain absces?
