Hair fall in PCOD patient is most likely due to HYPERANDOGENISM. TREATMENT OPTIONS : 1. Birth control pills for 3-6 cycles 2. Spironolactone with oral contraceptive 3. Finasteride or Dutasteride (not a good choice due to side effect profile in female) 4. Topical Minoxidil (In addition to oral pills) 5. Transplantation (in refractory cases) 6. Supportive :- -Weight loss about 5-10% by means of diet control and exercises. -Zinc 50 mg daily for 2 months. -Biotin

A combination of Biotin in high dose + finasteride ( Vibitin - F ) is available. 1 tab O.D for 3 months will be effective. Addition of protein and iron supplements if anaemic can help
