PEDIATRIC ALOPECIA AREATA .which is a challenge to treat It is a T- cell mediated attack on hair follicles- an autoimmune process . Look of any nail changes which may be associated. Treatment- Topical steroids application- clobetasol cream . 2 % Minoxidil lotion needs,to be supplemented.. If not responding, intra - lesional corticosteroids may be used

Thank you so much sir. No nail changes. I prescribed Clobetasol cream for topical application and Parents have been advised to consult a Dermatologist.

Its Alopecia areata. Give minoxidil to apply locally. Short course of steroids orally or better Intralesional triamcilone. Zinc n biotin orally.
