Hand, foot and mouth disease. Hand-foot-and-mouth disease should go away on its own after 7 to10 days. There is no treatment for the illness and no vaccine. You can ease your child's symptoms with: Over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen (Advil) or acetaminophen (Tylenol) or numbing mouth sprays. Individuals are most likely to spread HFMD during the first week of illness.

Hand foot and mouth disease, caused by coxsackie virus A16, mainly involves mouth sores, hand and foot but also involves gluteal region, common in children and it's self limiting in 7-10 days, for fever just paracetamol is sufficient and adequate hydration is required
