Hello Doctors/Vaidyas A one year old baby boy suffering from abdominal distention with mild fluid thrill and palpated liver since six months. His eyes is mild yellowish discoloration. He taking allopathic medications since six months. His various investigations is here. kindly share your opinions.
USG Study reveals hepatomegaly, ascites, and high level of serum bilirubin along with increased level of CRP , and anaemia. Apart from liver echogenicity homogenous and spleen also normal. High CRP indicates any type of infection persist. From above findings my suggestion .......... *Blood for LFT, *Hepatitis profile, *Hb electrophoresis to detect thalassemia. *If free fluid present in abdomen after conservative treatment then aspirated ascitic fluid send for cell type culture and sensitivity. *Ascitic fluid for ADA for mycobacterium. *CXR PA View to detect any koch's lesion ? Inspite of that I think baby suffering from any type of viral hepatitis.
Complit on Dugdha ahar Eranda patra swedan on abdomen Kumari asav no 3 Eranda tail+dugdha virechan HD manage dose as per conditaion daily Suvarnamalini Vasant 1gm+gulvel satva 10gm+mandur basma 5gm+Kasis 5gm 1BD
Urgently need opinions of Gastroenterologist with Gastroscopist , Billia Do, chelidonium majus Q daily TDs Carduus majus Q daily bid Lycopodium clav 200 daily
Ask about Bowel history & evaluate Malaavarodh. Virechan & Basti are treatments of choice using Yukti. Erand patra lepa is safest & best to start with. Start dual/ multi acting medicines like Punarnava Mandur, Arogyavardhini, Gomutra Haritaki, Falatrikaadi , Takrarishta , etc. Also advice repeated USG Abdomen and CT scan from a high tech and infrastructure wise upgraded hospital to evaluate ingestion of metal / foreign body considering age of the child. He might hv ingested it unknowingly.
Urgently refer to the Pediatric Gastroenterologist.... I don't think Ayurveda can help at this moment....

As u hv described d history of pt he may got hepatitis infection from her mother/during labour(contaminated instruments) so rule out that and other rule out for thalassemia.
