Hemiplegia

24yr/F H/O RTA with head injury, with acute SDH,with frontal lobe contusion (lt). Surgical management done Ftp craniotomy. O/E right sided hemiplegia, profound aphasia was noted, exaggerated dtr was noted on the right side. Ct images are attached. Kindly suggest the PT management. Thank You

Rehabilitation for head injury patient is quite long duration may take months to years with careful handling. 1) for flaccid case- start with passive movement at least 3 times in a day. Positioning of patient. Recalling of memory, Intelactual activities if patient is Consciously alert. Take care of bed sores. 2) in spastic stage.. Follow inhibitory technique to reduce spasticity. Start with relaxed passive exercise. Weight bearing. Motor relearning stratiges. Postural crrection. Functional training. Gait training. Gross motor and fine motor skills
