Hematochezia

Hemotochezia under Ix most likely to be Hemorrhoids. Chief Complaints A 54 yr old male has come with 2 episodes of fresh blood along with stool. No associated pain abdomen, fever, vomiting, constipation, trauma, H/O anti coagulant or NSAID intake or past H/O Hemorrhoids or any similar history in past. No associated Hematemesis, hemoptysis or Epistaxis. K/C/O HTN , no any other significant past history, except few episodes of Red mass bulging out of anus while straining at Stool (External Hemorrhoids?) Pt was examined and findings were normal both P/A and P/R. Blood Ix were advised. All were normal including CBC, LFT, RFT, Sr Electrolytes, Urine RE, BT, CT, PT/INR etc. Pt was admitted and conservative management has been started.

It is a case of fresh painless bleeding and a mass coming out per rectum may be haemorrhoids may be prolase piles Other causes of frash painless bleeding A. May polyp or highup polyp B. May be malignancy in lower part of my gastrintestinal tract involving rectum and and sigmoid colon pro Pp roctoscopy Sigmoidoscopy to see for any pathology

Blood per anum while straining for defecation oozout in spert as seen on pot suggestive of haemorrhoids like big enough need to subject proctoscopy or colonoscopy D/d rectal polyps
