A 50 years old male patient, complaining č pain abdo. pain at right hypochondriac region . Other vital signs are normal finding. Haematological and other important tests are performing now. Dx and Rx.....

IF Pyogenic Liver Abscess Treat conservatively Ceftriaxone 1g IV BD plus Metronidazole 500 mg IV TDS IF Hemodynamic instable OR Multi-organ involvement / Suspected ESBL producer: Start with Piperacillin+ Tazobactam 4.5 g IV TDS Cefoperazone+ Sulbactam 2 -3 gm IV BD or Meropenem 1-2g IV TDS IF amoebic Liver Absess IV Metronidazole 750 mg IV TDS  Percutaneous drainage

Besides pain any other symptoms like high grade fever? H/o alcohol consumption? What have you started him on as of now sir.

Hepatic abscess ? Septic, ? Amoebic, ? Infected hydadid cyst CT angio, aspiration of abscess under CT/ USG guidance and look for Grams, AFB and CBNATT Aspiration of abscess
