BELOW SIX MONTHS.. NOT NECESSARY.. BUT..IF THE BABY IS ALLERGIC TO SOME ..FOOD..DRUGS.. THEN BETTER TO.. DO..AST ..

I don't think there is any guideline to perform such tests for neonates. APST is for older age group. Skin tests are unreliable in this age group due to immature immune function. Still if you can document that the mother is allergic to penicillin you can be cautious with the drug
