Irregular menstruation

Age 22 years, Unmarried girl, No any miscarriage or abortion. No any other obstetric history. Irregular menstruation time duration 2 to 3 month some time.. What she can do.. ? One doctor prescribed cyproterone acetate and ethinyl estradiol tablets.

- Age 22 yr - such 2 to 3 month irregular is due to Anovulatory cycle - Go for TSH & S. Testosterone - If Androgenic sign e.q. Hirsutism, Obesity , Acne, then rational to prescribe Cyproterone acetate containing Pill

Could be a case of PCOS. Pelvic Ultrasound, Hormone profile assay of LH, FSH, Estradiol, DHEA, Prolactin. Combination oral contraceptive or primolut N can be given +any weight reduction of overweight + Metformin since she is unmarried or single if it's PCOS, Anti prolactin (eg, Cabergoline) if hyperprolactinemic

Go test for USG report, cbc, RBS

This is the case of PCOS Do FSH, LH , T3T4TSH
