IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THYROXIN CAN BE STOPPED IN SUB-CLINICAL HYPOTHYROIDISM CASES AT SOME TIME?

Subclinical hypothyroidism is better not treated but followed with periodic TFT testing. I do it every 3 months for the first year, then 6 monthly. As thyroid hormone replacement is needed lifong for most cases, it is better to wait. Then again, this may not always apply to a patient who was previously hypothyroid and under treatment.

Do not stop taking the medication even if you feel better. Do not take your thyroid medication at the same time as fiber supplements, calcium, iron, multivitamins, or aluminum hydroxide antacids or any medications that bind bile acids
