Strangury and poor stream of urine may be due to post urethral stri ture or may be due to enlarge prostate. Both othese conditions leading to stagnation of urine leading ti infection (UTI) Leading to Strangury, increased frequency and poor stream Cystoscopy Urine culture and sensitivity USG. to see post void urine volume Repeated dilatation and to avoid and better result urethroplasty.

Pure case of stricture urethra regular dilatation by urologist surgical repair possible

Stricture bulbar urethra Cystoscopy, Repeated Dilataions, and if results are poor, urethroplasty

Stricture bulbar urethra with extravasation of dye due previous attempt to catheterise or dilatation with back pressure changes in bladder. Exclude meatal stenosis & BXO. Can be managed with OIU if renal function is normal otherwise needs a SPC as first step.
