Mandibular mass

Chief Complaint A 13 y/o female came with a swelling in the posterior lingual side of the right mandible for 20 days & causes displacement of teeth. History There was no history of trauma. Investigations On examination, a solid, pinkish-red mass was noted in the posterior mandible. Diagnosis What are your differentials? Treatment Please advise

This is periodontal abscess. Check pocket, mobility, take an iopa to check bone loss. Treatment planing_. incision and drainage with normal saline irrigation. .tab ciprofloxacin along with metronidazole tds. For 10 days .chlorhexidine mouth wash thrice a day. .Luke warm saline rinses thrice a day. .scaling and root planning. .start rct that particular teeth if tooth can save otherwise extraction.
