Sir .. good evening sir.. X ray findings-- B/L hilar nodes DDs are PTB, Sarcoidosis, Bronchogenic carcinoma, Lymphoma, Pneumoconiosis, Mycoplasmal and other fungal infections like pneumocystis carinii pneumonia, AIDS, Bronchiectasis, Goodpausters syndrome,?

Sir.. X ray finding __ Lt lower lobe cavitary lesion DD s.. PTB, Lung abcess, Bronchiectasis, Consolidation, Fungal ball( aspergilloma), Sarcoidosis, Rheumatoid nodule followed by cavity, Primary lung carcinoma, Secondaries, AIDS??

It's a case of tuberculosis.

What are the special situations TB affects lower zone specifically?

Affects right upper lobe sir... It is more aerated lobe... mycobacterium is aerobic bacilli...

DD TB LUNGS CHRONIC BRONCHITIS BRONCHECTSIS

Likely lung abscess. Unlikely to be PTB.

Suggestive of small thick walled cavity,of infective etiology

Lt thick walled cavity Pulm TB ?Lung abscess
