Nodular Acne

F/23, C/o. Acne since 6 months. No other complaints. she was prescribed doxycycline orally and clindamycin topically with no relief then was prescribed levoflox orally and clindamycin + tretinoin topically with no results by her area physician. What can be done in such stubborn cases. Spot dx rx with further course of management.

Dear dr these are pustular nodular acnes Need to express the nodules with expellor So far antibiotics of choice are azithromycin 500mg 1od for 5days and after that alternately 100mg Or clindamycin 300mg 1bd I don't think quinolones are choice for skin Locally benzyl peroxide or pernex 5%oint twice daily Application are to be kept for half an hour and wash off before outing or going to bed Antioxidents I hope patience will pay

Pustular Nodular Acne Azithromycin 500mg OD for 7 days Doxycycline 100mg bid for 14 days Multivitamins Antioxidant OD for 14 days Clindamycin ointment at night Isotroin 20mg OD for 7 days Avoid junk foods

PUSTULAR NODULAR ACNE Azithromycin 500mg od. PCM ibu TDS. Multivitamins and antioxidants orally and. Clean area with diluted betadine lotion apply calamine lotion than clindamycin oint locally bd. Improve general health and personal hygiene. Increase fluid intake and avoid spicy oily and fast food. Protect area against exposure to extreme bad weather conditions and covered with sterile gauge.

Possible antibiotic resistance case . Stop all antibiotics ... start with roaccutane after written consent .

@along with systemic & topical therapy ; advice blood investigation - CBC ; FSH ; LH ; free testesteron ; cap isotroin with tab azythromycin u can advice
