Orthotics management of cerebral palsy .

Cerebral palsy and diplegic mixed spasticity. Chief Complaints Unable to stand, walk and sitting. Due to condition of diplegic mixed spasticity flexon deformity present in knee joints as well as valgus knees and both ankles. Due to scissors gait patterns mobility and stability was not possible. History Child was born with premature baby. Kept in ICU for more than one month. But fits and hypoxic condition remains continue till the age of four years. After five years of age parents of cute child contact me from Afghanistan for orthotics management for the child. Vitals Not any such conditions found. Temperature and blood pressure was normal at the time of assessment and measurements. Physical Examination Having flexon deformity which can be corrected by manually. Bilateral genu valgum and pes plannus and spinal deformities like scoliosis and forward bending during standing and sitting. Investigations Not required Diagnosis As per radio graphic images knock knee, and spinal deformities see there. Management After assessment and measurements we go for Thoraco Lumbo sacral orthosis with Bilateral Hip Knee Ankle Foot Orthoses for stability and correcting the deformities and mobility solution. It was a successful treatment plan. Child was comfortable and parents were happy after see their child in standing position.
