Painful vulvar swelling

A 14 years old girl presented with vulvar swelling, pain, and difficulty to walk. Her examination showed a tender and large left labial abscess. What should be the immediate treatment?

May be Causes:- Bacterial/Vaginal yeast infection Looks like Poor Hygiene. ?? Cystic swelling with abscess Rx. 1....Sitz baths. Soaking in a tub filled of warm water (sitz bath) several times a day for three or four days may help a infected cystic swelling to rupture and drain on its own. 2...Surgical drainage. You may need surgery to drain a Swelling that's infected or very large. 3...Antibiotics.such like Amoxy-Clavunate 625 mg bd. Antiinflammatory tds 4...V-Vash

*Bacterial / Fungal infection Due to poor hygiene. **Post traumatic Insect bite /allergic reaction Clavam cl 625mg bd. Diclo PCM TDS. Multivitamin and antioxidants orally. Clean area with diluted betadine lotion and Luke warm water and apply mupriocin oint locally. Surgical drainage under LA and ASD with betadine lotion and antibiotics cover.

It labial inflammation Cap Augmentin 625 one bd for7days Tab Anti inflammatory one tab tds Analgesic Wait for 2days after starting the antibiotic to any resolution is there or not, if signs of resolution is there then to continue if no resolution is there then Incision and drainage.

Labial abscess with difficulty in walking should be drained immediately under Antibiotic coverage. If abcess is not pointing then give her Antibiotics Antiinflammatory Antioxidants Local Hygiene to be maintained

You asked about immediate treatment since you are confirmed of labial abscess So ans is drainage os pus under GA and evaluate the source of abscess

Labial abscess,advise drainage if pus present and treatment with Amoxiclave,seratiopeptidase, analgesic

- allergic or anaphylactoid reaction - insect bite - treat with antibiotics+ antiinflammatories

I& D of abscess Antibiotics orally antibiotics locally Nsaid orally
