Gallows traction Look little odd for laymen But pretty effective and children tolerate it well Perineal care also easy It work on principle that counter traction is by part of body weight Adjust it in a way that buttocks just lift off the bed For a two month child,in 11 days adequate callus forms to make the fracture stable After care is your choice Either one more week traction at home Or Hip spica for another two weeks Keep hip little abducted and flexed to align the fracture and facilitate perineal care After that check xray and decide There should be good clinical union by that time
