Recent onset striae rubra Enquire for Hx of exogenous steroid use. Adv: FBS, PPBS, Sr electrolytes, Lipid profile, TSH, 8 am Sr Cortisol to r/o Hypercortisolemia. Vitamin E oil with Olive oil local application until secondary causes are excluded.

Clinical signs::truncal obesity and violaceous striae. looks to be cushing syndrome. cause exogenous or endogenous to be ruled out. history of excessive corticosteroid administration to be ruled out. diagnosis requires to do with free cortisol and high dexamethsone test. then management plan can be worked out.

Thanks for ur appreciation Dr Ashok Leel..
