LETS DISCUSS TMJ PAIN
Patient's chief complaint is pain in respect to left ear region with noises while opening mouth. Pain starts during mouth opening and is continuous, dull, moderate, lasts for many hours, relieves with rest and aggravates with cold and while chewing. Patient having history of painkillers with muscle relaxant since 1 month as prescribed by another doctor. Examination reveals tenderness, crepitus irt left TMJ region with reduced mouth opening. Patient advised MRI TMJ b/l. Clinically case diagnosed as internal derangement of TMJ left. Arthrocentesis done to relieve pain and to increase mouth opening.
