Probable diagnosis?

Neonate with respiratory distress Chief Complaints Hurried breathing for 2 days History Neonate on day 2 of life Vitals Tachypnea Tachycardia Hypoxia Physical Examination Bronchial breath sounds in left infra clavicular area Fine crepitations in left side Subcostal retractions Investigations X ray picture as given below. Persistent heterogenous opacity in left hemi thorax upper zone despite upgradation of antibiotics Diagnosis Probable diagnosis? Can it be an encysted effusion?

So what we're cbc crp blood c/s finding. Do they coincide with congenital pneumonia opacity. U r perceiving with upgradation of antibiotics. Is the baby improving clinically. It might b upper lobe collapse too. Better to go with usg thorax .

Probably , Congenital Pneumonia. For encysted effusion you might be needing Ultrasound Chest.
