Pt said he had allergy in sulfur drugs or other medicine.which drug is contraindicated

Aa sulfa group drugs.. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics, chemotherapy drugs, monoclonal antibodies, anti-seizure drugs and ACE inhibitors are frequent causes of allergic drug reactions.

Sulfur drug allergy - actually it refers to Sulpha drugs, patient misspell it as sulfer Durg! Sulpha drugs means antibiotic belonging to class of Sulphonamide - commonest is Septran/ Bactrim DS , which contain sulphamethoxazole and trimethoprim Other combination of sulphadoxin with pyrimethamine For this patients who are allergic to Sulpha drugs , drugs belonging to class of Sulphonamide should be avoided

Supha family is to be avoided Like other group can be Imidazole group Analgin group
