A case of head injury with diffuse axonal injury- leading to diffuse cerebral hypoxia and cerebral oedema. Prognosis is poor and recovery in such cases is poor as no definitive treatment is available. Just ventilatory support, decongestive therapy, AED'S, and supportive treatment is possible

Dx - DAI Mx - Initial resuctitation to normal parameters,Maintain venous drainage,ICP monitoring, maintain CPP.

? INTRACRANIAL PATHOLOGY.. ? CEREBRAL OEDEMA.. NEED'S.. HOSPITALIZATION AND LIFE SUPPORTIVE MEASURES.. NEUROSURGEN'S OPINION FOR FURTHER MANAGEMENT..

CT scan showes sulci and gyri are less prominently seen - suggestive of diffuse cerebral oedema Left occipital region hypodense lesion - ? Infarction

Diffuse cerebral oedema with hypodense area lt mid brain haemorrhage Critical Keep ventilation and o2 saturation Vaso pressores for maintenance of bp
