pt with age of 22 years suffering from ulcer on the lateral border of the tongue since 10 days prescribed B12 and folic acid tablets with no such marked effect. should I switch to corticosteroids.?

10 days duration, unlikely to be malignant,unless it is firm or hard to feel. I agree with all in the forum about a sharp tooth. However a small biopsy will clearly tell us the pathology. Also it may relieve the patients anxiety.

check for any sharp cusp on that particular side. tab. floraking BD for 5 days along with oraways paste( triamcinolone) apply locally specially during night. if not responded, then prescribe metrogyl 400 TDS

All the above treatments are fine but if within 07 days if there is no clinical response Test for HIV Biopsy to rule out malignancy

check for any impinging tooth

it's traumatic ulcer due to sharp cusp. remove cause local application kenacort and antioxidants thank you..
