38 yrs female with umbilical discharge At this age congenital causes such as patent urachus and vitellointestinal duct remnant is unlikely as etiology. More likely is infected umbilical cord, or umbilical granuloma Sonography and CT abdomen can be done to confirm diagnosis Excision of umbilical cord, granuloma will result in permanent cure

A cyst in or near the belly button may leak pus or blood if it becomes infected. Urachal cysts, which are less common, might also cause bloody discharge from the belly button. The urachus is a tube-like structure that connects the umbilical cord to the bladder. The urachus usually disappears before birth. Surgical intervention.

? CHRONIC AMPHIBITIS.. ? URACHUS.. ? PERIUMBILICAL INFECTION..FISTULA.. NEED'S.. USG..STUDY.. PUS C AND S EXAMINATION.. SURGEONS OPINION..

Pus culture from umbilicus Abdominal ultrasound to rule out persistent urachus and persistent Vitello intestinal duct. If there is umbilical sinus, consider sinogram.
