Patient N who came in with complains of seasonal allergic rhinitis and was prescribed Fexofenadine by doctor M. Patient N visits Dr. M with complains that even after taking the drug no relief was provided. What could be the contributing factor which lead to failure of the drug action ?

N took the table with a fruit juice, it decreases Absorption time of the drug.

B - taking fexofenadine with fruit juice

Fruit juice

Fexofenadine is not to be taken with high fat meal or apple, orange, or grapefruit juice because they could decrease absorption of the drug
