Red patches on lower back

57yrs old female, having rashes and red patches on lower back and lower stomach since two days. Pain and little burning sensation in the area. No history of rashes before like this, otherwise healthy, no fever, no hypertension, non diabetic.

Groups of vesicles in erythematous background associated with pain is nothing but HERPES. Advice : 1. Tab Aciclovir - 800 mg every 5 hrs for 7-10 days or until no new lesions for 48 hrs. 2. Cap Becosules Z - 1 Cap ODPC for boosting up immunity. 3. For Pain relief give Pregabalin 75 mg OD if pain is severe. 4. Tab Acetaminophen 650 mg if fever. 5. Tab Cephalexin 500 mg BDPC for 5 days to prevent secondary bacterial infections. If rashes are extensive or multiple dermatomes involved then test for HIV.
