Right breast mass

Chief Complaint A 52 y/o female presented with a mass in the right breast for 10 months. It was small in size which started increasing gradually. History Menopause occurs at the age of 47 years. She is diabetic and is on medication for that. She is not on any hormonal therapy. Examination A 3.5 × 3 cm well-circumscribed, hard palpable lump was noted in the subareolar region of the right breast. Nipple on right side was also retracted. No discharge or axillary LN was present. Left side examination is normal. Investigations FNAC of the mass was done which came positive for malignant cells. Treatment We are planning for a radical mastectomy. What do you say?

Best step at this stage is MRM You are correct ealiest surgical intervention will give prolonged life more than 10 to 20yrs Post surgery followed by radiotherapy

MRM is an option for ca breast But treatment should be decided after staging of ca breast with an opinion of onco surgeon

Adv Modified radical mastectomy or breast conservative surgery for CA breast

Radical mastectomy and combination therapy depending upon the staging.
