Tinea Corporis
Tinea corporis Itraconazole 200 mg od Flucozone 150 mg weekly Atarex 25 mg BD. Cefriaxon 500 mg BD. Multi vitamin and antioxidants orally. Clean area with diluted betadin lotion and apply calamine lotion then lulliconazole+fusidine oint in 2:1 ratio BD. Wash area with soda bi carb and apply Sulphur 2% oint locally biweekly. Improve general health and personal hygiene. Maintain nutrition hydration and hygiene. Keep area clean and dry by dusting keto powder and soap.

A 35 yr old Lady presented with a well cucumscribed,reddish lesion over the flexor aspect of mid forearm for the last 2 months.... The lesion is itchy,,having burning sensation at times... Also there is ocassionaly a small amount of serous discharge from it... Similar lesions are also found over different parts of body such as upper back,,upper aspect of chest .... She is on some topical medications details of which is not known... lesion gets subsided in a matter of few days whenever she starts medication but again reappears... ((similar type lesion has also been seen in her husband but of less severe intensity)).. DIAGNOSIS.. MANAGEMENT..??

55 M. A case of Tinea cruris /corporis . Not a Diabetic. No other obvious Immunocompromised status . Treated with PO Fluconazole 150 mg weekly for 8 weeks and sos Antihistamines. Topical Terbinafine ointment in the night and clotrimazole powder in the morning . Compliance was fare. But response was unsatisfactory. Patient consulted elsewhere and applied clotrimazole, neomycin and steroid cream. Now returned with Taenia incognito. Help me to treat. Update 29.03.17 . Patient received Itraconazole 200 mg daily and topical Whitfield. The response is satisfactory .
