You are better person to answer this than me Ok since you have asked i will suggest to best of my Large periodental abscess first needs to incision and drain and control the infection with broadspectrum antibiotics Followed by RCT
DRAINING ABSCESS.. REMOVAL OF DEBRIS..FORM..PERIODONTAL POCKETS .. SCALING AND ROOT PLANNING.. BS .. ANTIBIOTICS WITH NSAIDS AS PER REQUIREMENT..
Drainage through pocket retraction or incision . Scaling and root planning . Systemic antibiotics &frequent rinsing with warm salt water. Periodic application of chlorhexidine gluconate either rinsing /cleaning locally with a cotton tipped swab.
Drain the abscess through pocket Scaling and root planning Put the patient on broad spectrum antibiotics Check for the pocket depth You can also use periochips for deep pockets If its endo-perio lesion go for endodontic treatment
Treatment is totally dependent on the severity of the lesion .. radiographic evaluation is very important step treating such lesions.
