when patients present with a lidocaine allergy, there are different options that can be used to achieve proper anesthesia. Anesthetics that belong in the ester group can be used if patients know they are allergic to lidocaine or another amide medication. If they are unsure, using diphenhydramine can provide adequate relief as well

1% diphenhydramine is alternative The ester group local anesthetics can be used these include anesthetics such as tetracaine, procaine, cocaine, and chloroprocaine. Lidocaine is basically amide group

Lidocaine belongs to Amide group. If a patient is allergic to lidocaine or amide group anesthetics plz go for Ester group. 1%dephenhydramine can also be used as an alternative.
