It's generally used to block / reduce gastric secretion in Peptic ulcer.. Hypobydtosis is a side effect causing det mouth.
Glycolate 1 Tablet is a prescription medicine used alone or in combination with other medicines to treat peptic ulcers. It has anti-secretory effect, so helps to reduce excessive salivation and sweating. It is even used before operations to reduce body secretions.

58yr old woman presented with constipation since 1 month, abdominal pain since 15days and distention since 4 days. Agg anxiety. K. C. O hyperthyroidism pt under treatment for 25years. During burning stomach salivation in the mouth. Sometimes sour eructation and sometimes empty eructation. Fried food <. Faint feeling in stomach if food delayed and delayed food cause heartburn Donot open his feelings to others. On auscultation abdominal pulsation present. Easily angred ;cannot endure opposition or contradiction ; Your valuable suggestions needed.

55 y/o male patient presenting with melena, intermittent constipation with no obstipation and episodes of vomiting with no hematemesis. Only comorbid is HIV on treatment with lower than detectable viral load and CD4 of 610. No prev surgery. Regular NSAID usage. The patient is stable but mild wasting noted with abdomen mildly tender epigastrically but not peritonitic. No hernias. No masses palpated. CRP raised at 57 with Hb 5 and MCV 64. Only other abnormality is low albumin at 22
