32 yrs female Lymphnode swelling of size 2x2cm over occipital region just above back of neck since 5yrs Non tender Firm in consistency Fnac slides Your valuable opinion please

It is neural tumour..either Schwannoma or Neurofibroma. No lymphoid component seen. Sug bx

•DDs in Lymphnode : *Intranodal Palisaded Myofibroblastoma/Intranodal Haemorrhagic Spindle Cell Tumor with Amianthoid Fibres. *Intranodal Schwannoma with plenty of Verocay bodies. •As no lymphoid component seen,other possibilities are *Hyalinising Spindle Cell Tumor with Giant Rosettes. *?Skin Adnexal Tumor/Chondroid Syringoma with abundant mesenchymal stromal elments.Advised correlation with Bx & IHC( Panel of SMA,MSA,Beta Catenin,CyclinD1//S100//Leu7,pgp7.5//GFAP respectively.

granulomatous lymphadenitis probably of tuberculous origin

Yes sir few foci are epithelioid like, however features are going in favor of Shwannoma, ZN stain/CBNAAT/Histopathological examination is helpful......
