A female patient of age 55 yrs with Acute abdomen with spleenomegaly Chief Complaints Acute pain in abdomen Nausea Vomiting 2 episodes Anorexia Weakness Constipation Abdominal discomfort History Non diabetic No Cardiac disease Vitals Stable No fever Physical Examination Tenderness at Rt. Hypochondriac region & umbilical region Palpble spleen enlargement Mild distension Peristalsis sluggish Investigations Total WBC count - 28000/ mm3 With increased Nutrophils USG findings - Gross Spleenomegaly 16 cm CT abdomen - Massive Splenomegaly with focal lesions s/o Splenic Abscess Management Nil by mouth RT insertion & aspiration Blood letting from Lt. Brachial vein IV antibiotics Inj. Pan Inj. Emeset Inj. Dynapar Fluid management
