Splenectomy ( Removal Of spleen ) A 10 year old patient of Major thalassemia. Splenectomy is indicated in a Transfusion - Dependent patient when hypersplenism increase Blood transfusion requirement and prevents adequate control of body Iron with Chelation therapy.

19 yr female admitted with severe anemia hb 3.6 with severe menstrual bleeding., took 2 units of blood still hb not rising. recent history of admission in to another hospital and treated for malaria and hepatitis{ no records available}. no past history of such symptoms. examination revealed no specific findings. investigation reports attached. patient is now on blood transfusion. please suggest next line of management. reports showing pancytopenia, what may be the cause.

A 66 y/o male concerned for multiple red spots on his lips, tongue, and oral mucosa. The spots bled spontaneously and with minimal contact. The lesions bled with minor trauma during cleaning. a girl child with h / o wheat allergy is now taking wheat without any problems but her ttg test is still positive. my question is whether one should stop her wheat diet.on other diet plans she start losing wt and appetite and her parents give her wheat again .she gains wt and has no other symptoms whatsoever while on wheat
