Steroids and inflammation. A 22 year male came with decreased vision in left eye since 2 weeks . BCVA- was 6/120 and pupil showed RAPD. Fundus showed disc swelling with massive lipid deposition in the macula. High dose intra venous methyl prednisolone was given for 3 days followed by oral steroids. On follow up after 7 days BCVA- was 6/12 with resolving disc swelling and lipid deposition.
