Strawberry tongue.. It  is the name given to a swollen, bumpy tongue. Most often, the enlarged tongue is very red, like a strawberry or raspberry. Occasionally, the tongue will be white for a few days before turning red. Strawberry tongue isn't itself a condition. Strawberry tongue can be a symptom of the following:..... ** Kawasaki disease:--- This causes inflammation in some of the arteries in your body. Other symptoms include high fever, peeling skin, rash, and red, goopy eyes. You typically get this during childhood. **Scarlet fever: When you have strep throat, it can sometimes turn into this bacterial illness. ** Food or drug allergies:... ** Toxic shock syndrome (TSS)..

Strawberry tongue Cause may be vitamin deficiency, scarlet fever, Kawasaki disease

Looks Strawberry Tongue + Glossitis Etiology- Vit B2 + Vit B12 deficiency. Scarlet fever 1. History of fever 2. Pharyngeal examination 3. Throat swab for strep. Bacteria can rule out Scarlet fever. Thank you.

Strawberry tongue could be related to a vitamin deficiency, Kawasaki disease, or a strep infection (scarlet fever).
