The patient is Pyrexic and tachycardic. Pain on passive movement. Start antibiotics right away and closely watch that flexed finger. What else should be done? Please discuss.

Cellulitis finger Cold compression. BS antibiotics. PCM ibu TDS. Chymoral forte TDS. Multivitamins and antioxidants orally. Thrombophob oint locally. Raised affected area. If not responded positively than i%d under LA and ASD with betadine lotion.

Flexor tendon sheath infection.requires aggressive IV antibiotics and maybe an early surgical drainage procedure.

It appears to be infection with cellulitis of the tendon sheath of the flexor tendons(teno synovitis). It is a bad type infection causing painful monements of finger mainly flexion. Higher antibiotic better if given intravenous for better action Blood sugar to see pt is diabetic or not Analgesic
