There is history of severe itching and swelling of right eye for 1 day. There is reddish discoloration around right eye. What is the diagnosis and treatment.

Swelling not confined to lower eyelid but the both eyelids, so it should be Blepharitis, allergic causes. Probably no angioedema Lotepred eye drop 1 drop 3 times daily×3days Renicol eye oint at bedtime Antiallergic Better to refer Ophthalmologist

Angiooedema. If there’s no dyspnoea or stridor then the rx should be- Syr hydroxyzine at 2 mg / kg/ day in divided doses Oral prednisolone at 1 mg / kg / day in bd dosage for 3- 4 days. No tapering of doses needed.

This is a case of allergic blepharoconjunctivitis . Rx : * oral & topical steroid e/drops with antibiotics. * oral antihistamines.

h/o itching & swelling & redness. Possibly ANGIOEDEMA.(Rt.Eye.).

Allergic conjunctivitis Rx Oral Antihistaminic x 21 days Cold water fomentation if there is discomfort in the eyes.

Angioedema. Look for causes of allergy Oral fexofenadine and ranitide. Check for systemic signs of anaphylaxis. Urine albumin.
