Female/Hindu/59 yrs Chief Complaints Pain in throat + difficulty in diglutation for 3 months History HTN for 6 yrs, patient took medicines like atrovastin 10 and olmesar 20 Vitals BP- 140/86 PR- 101 SPO2-98 CHEST CLEAR Physical Examination O/E - Ulcer in tongue (Photo attached) Management I prescribed Becozyme C Forte- BD x 10 days Zytee Gel - Twice a day x 7 days Dx and Rx please
Traumatic ulcer tongue Explore possibilities of sharp tooth injury Tab cefixime ofloxacin bd Locally hexigel kenacort gel frequently Multivitamin suppliment
Case of Apthous Ulcer . Treatment , 1. Mouth gargle Cipo-fresh , twice daily. 2. Gel-Metrogyl-DG-forte apply Thrice daily. 3. Tablet Ketorol-DT, BD for 5 days.
Traumatic ulcer due to Sharp tooth edges. Dental examination is must in this case.
First please check for sharp tooth or fractured tooth
D/d:- Pharyngitis Glossopharyngeal neuralgia Hamular bursitis Tonsillitis Elongated styloid process Adv CT of affected area Refer to ent surgeon Rx:- Tab O2 twice daily for 5 days post meals if pt not alcoholic Else Tab Augmentin 625mg Coolora mouthwash 2-3 times daily for 14 days Warm saline gargles between meals Tab Zerodol P sos 8 hourly

If not respond to conservative management Then Go for biopsy from the ulcer Dentist opinion should be taken
